This week has been fairly stressful with midterms and papers to write. But now that the weekend has come, I can pop in a couple scary movies, snuggle with the boyfriend, and forget the two pages of music terminology I had one and a half days to memorize. Thank goodness that exam was multiple choice.

I also learned that Sacagawea was nowhere near as cool as Night at the Museum made her out to be. Not in my music class, in my Native American Lit class.

On a sad note, my family's beloved German Shepherd, Carl, passed away last week. He struggled for nearly 2 years with strange conditions involving his hindquarters. Carl couldn't walk on his own for a long time after he had surgery in an attempt to help his sudden muscle weakness in his hind legs. Last week, he started panting uncontrollably, and was promptly taken to the vet, where we were informed that the reason for his panting was that he was in immense pain. It was a difficult decision that brought everyone great sadness, but it was clear that it would be selfish to put him on more medication and extend his pain. He was euthanized on October 22nd, 2009. He will never be forgotten, and always missed. Rest in peace, my good boy. My Carl.
